When you need an independent opinion on your product, a project quality audit is a smart choice. Also, if your previous developer cannot complete the project and you want us to finish it, we will start with an audit. Integra Sources offers both software and hardware quality audit services. Whether it is an application, firmware, or a printed circuit board, the team will thoroughly study it and provide reasoned recommendations.

PCB Design Quality Audit

We will carefully study your PCB schematics and layout, as well as the bill of materials. The team will also run a DFM/DFA analysis if necessary. After that, the team will prepare an audit document with a description of any faults and risks of the project and improvement recommendations.

Integra Sources gets acquainted with the concept of your project and signs a non-disclosure agreement. We study project requirements and relevant documents to set a budget and deadline. Then we make up a team and schedule its workload.

We sign a contract for software or PCB design quality audit. The team gets to work.

For a hardware audit, we analyze the PCB schematics and layout, as well as the components used in your project. If the hardware is designed for mass manufacturing, we also run a DFA/DFM analysis. The team can also test the prototype, if there is one, to reveal any faults.

For a software audit, we analyze the source code you provide.

The team prepares an audit report that contains all the discovered faults and risks. We also give recommendations on how the product can be improved.

After the audit, we stay in touch to answer any questions or give an additional consultation. If you’d like Integra Sources to complete or rework your project, we can sign a contract for embedded hardware and/or software development.

When do I need an audit?

A software or PCB quality design audit is required when you have an unfinished product and can’t get help from the previous developer for some reason. An audit will help you understand the current status of the product and what needs to be done to complete it. This service can also be helpful if you have reasonable doubts about your previous developer.

What do I get after the audit?

After the analysis, the team prepares a document that describes the current software or hardware design (architecture, components, etc.) and highlights the defects, faults, and risks. The team also provides tips on how to address the revealed issues, what components can serve as alternatives, how to optimize the code, etc.

How long does it take to run a project quality audit?

On average, you can expect this task to take between 1 week and 2 months. But complicated products may take even more time. We can set a deadline after a preliminary project estimation.

Can you run a DFM/DFA analysis?

Certainly. If you plan to manufacture your PCB in high volumes, design for assembly and design for manufacturing are a must. We will study the schematics and layouts you provide with these principles in mind and give corresponding recommendations.

Can you complete my project?

Yes, we can. One of the common reasons for running project audits is to better understand the ins and outs of a particular project. With this knowledge, the team can either rework your product or finish it.

We sign a non-disclosure agreement to protect any sensitive information. Unless you permit, we will not mention your project on our website or other platforms or share it with other customers.
